==Historia de la banda==
El quinteto alemán no podría ser categorizado como metal progresivo ni como power metal puro, más bien, y a la altura del [[2000]] con "Enlighten The Darkness", Angel Dust es una muestra de heavy técnico, elaborado y hasta cierto punto, a partir de su renacimiento a fines de los ‘90, original.

Su pasado se remonta al año [[1984]] cuando el baterista Dirk Assmuth junto a su amigo Frank Banx (bajo) le dan forma a este proyecto heavy thrash, el cual todavía necesitaba pulirse. Sin embargo, en [[1986]] debutan con el disco ''Into The Dark Past'', para luego seguir dos años más tarde con ''To Dust You Will Decay'', trabajo que posicionó a la banda dentro de un lugar semi-privilegiado en la escena power thrash alemana. Al año siguiente Angel Dust deja de existir y no es hasta [[1998]] que sus miembros originales reflotan al grupo con el álbum ''Border Of Reality'', el cual marcaba el debut de su nuevo vocalista Dirk Thurisch. Sin duda la banda tenía una técnica más depurada y el estilo se había pulido con el paso del tiempo hasta convertirse en un heavy power melódico, con ciertos toques progresivos y rockeros.

En [[1999]] otra vez sorprenden a la escena con su cuarta placa ''Bleed'', la cual demuestra tener una constante musical, todo esto confirmado el [[2000]] con su último disco ''Enlighten The Darkness'', trabajo muy influenciado en lo lírico por la guerra de [[Kosovo]], que contiene toda la riqueza de composiciones melódicas que no caen en el virtuosismo exagerado, pero tampoco en la rudeza de las guitarras. Actualmente Angel Dust participa en el tributo a R. J. [[Dio]], "Holy Dio" con ‘Temple Of The King’, está formado por Dirk Thurisch en voces, Bernd Aufermann en guitarra y voz, Steven Banx en teclados, Frank Banx en bajo y Dirk Assmuth en batería.
