Nacio el 28 de junio de 1990 en Wenzhou, Zhejiang, China. Comenzó a modelar a tiempo parcial a la edad de 17 años. Estudió y se graduó en "Shanghai Conservatory of Music" con un título en drama musical. En 2011, fue reclutado por la compañía de entretenimiento de Corea del Sur "Cube Entertainment" para formarse como actor junto con grupos de ídolos populares ahora conocidos como 4MINUTE y B2ST / BEAST.
