Síntesis biográfica

Nació el 14 de junio de 1972, en Maple Ridge, British Columbia, y fue criada en una comuna en Pitt Meadows. Comenzó a estudiar ballet desde los tres años hasta los 16, cuando el agente de su tío actor, la tomó como representada permitiéndole aparecer en la televisión canadiense interpretando pequeños roles.

Trayectoria

Molly Parker comenzó su carrera actoral interpretando pequeños papeles en la televisión canadiense como en los filmes Paris or Somewhere (1994), el cual le valió una nominación para un premio televisivo en Canada, y Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story (1995), el cual llamó la atención al interpretar a la hija de una militar lesbiana en el filme. Sin embargo, el gran despegue en su carrera vino por un filme para la pantalla grande, Kissed (1996), el cual fue un gran salto en su carrera, ganando un premio de la academia canadiense.

En televsión fue vista en la series de CBC, Twitch City (1998), y en las series de HBO, Six Feet Under (2001), donde interpreta un rabino femenino y en la memorable Deadwood (2004).

En el cine ha realizado papeles controversiales en filmes como Sunshine (1999), Wonderland (1999), así como en el filme The Center of the World (2001), con el tema sexual como elemento principal. Tambie´n ha paraecido en filmes como The War Bride (2001), con importante nominaciones en Canada y Last Wedding (2001), que le permitió ser premiada por la academia canadiense.
