Destacado artesano y ceramista. Queda fascinado por la arquitectura y el patrimonio de la ciudad de Camagüey. Ese ambiente es reflejado en su obra. Los colores de los tejados, las rojizas torres de las iglesias centenarias y las casonas coloniales que desafían la infinidad del tiempo son recreados en barro. Según sus palabras sus realizaciones son realistas a su manera donde predominan los rasgos de la colonia. Además conjuga la realidad con el Sueño y el Gusto. Sus obras se encuentran en más de 15 países, entre los que destacan Italia, México, Canadá, Estados Unidos, Alemania, España, Argentina, Holanda, Bélgica y China.<br /> <br /> “Añejas arquitecturas de la suave comarca de pastores y sombreros que «tiene una rojiza piel de barro», a decir del Poeta Nacional, Nicolás Guillén, con sus calles sinuosas están asimismo presentes en las cerámicas de Ramón, quien es capaz de contar las historias con arcilla para mantener la tradición del barro y el fuego”, apuntó el escritor Lázaro David N.<br /> <br /> Agregó que Ramón “forma parte de las actuales generaciones de artesanos camagüeyanos, cuyos tinajones no tienen el fin utilitario de almacenaje de agua sino que otorgan ese toque ornamental y tradicional de embellecer interiores, parques, jardines y plazas de toda Cuba y otras naciones del mundo”.<br /> <br /> Síntesis biográfica<br /> <br /> Nació en el año 1962 en Camagüey. Graduado de Nivel Medio Superior.<br /> <br /> Desde 1994, a la edad de 32 años, sin poseer estudios académicos incursiona por primera vez en la cerámica. Su trabajo en el barro buscaba formas que lo condujeron a una línea de labor estable. Sus comienzos estuvieron dirigidos a las producciones de casas, fachadas, iglesias de la ciudad de Camagüey de los siglos XVII y XIX.<br /> Ramón Guerra López tiene una obra que para muchos es irrepetible. “Cada pieza suya es única y es justamente ahí donde radica su virtud”, afirmó el especialista Galo Carbajal García. Apreciar su quehacer es descubrir un pedazo de historia legendaria del Camagüey Colonial. <br /> Ha participado en tres Ferias Populares convocadas por el Sistema de la Casa de Cultura y la Oficina de Patrimonio Cultural.
