==Características==<br />
Planta propia de zonas costeras. Es una hierba rizomatosa bastante tomentosa con tallos alados y hojas basales que pueden superar los 30 cm de largo y 5 cm de ancho con las superiores menores y muy decurrentes por el tallo. <br />

Sus cabezuelas florales son de color rosado-violeta y el involucro una vez seco se conserva en la planta.<br />
