Fall Out Boys. Es una banda de rock alternativo de Illinois, Chicago, Estados Unidos, formada en 2001. La banda consta con cuatro miembros: Patrick Stump (cantante principal, guitarra rítmica y compositor secundario), Pete Wentz (cantante secundario, bajista y escritor principal), Joe Trohman (guitarrista principal) y Andrew Hurley (batería).

Inicios
Este cuarteto se formó en el año 2001, en Chicago (Illinois) en la escena de bares y el circuito subterráneo del rock local. Con una buena puesta en escena y un buen manejo de la música en vivo Fall out boy rápidamente se dio a conocer en toda la ciudad.
La banda se integró por Patrick Stumo, Peter Wentz, Andrew Hurley y Joseph Trohman, amigos de infancia que compartían el mismo gusto y afinidad por la música, especialmente por el rock y el Neopunk emergente.
Su primer disco es ‘Take this to your grave’, aunque previamente la agrupación lanzó dos mini álbumes o EP’s: ‘Fall out boy’s evening out with your girl’ y . Su siguiente trabajo fue ‘From under the cork tree’ con el cuál lograron varias nominaciones y premios en los MTV Video Music Awards 2005.
Fall out boy se caracteriza por ser una banda versátil y muy original por eso se reinventa y explora nuevos sonidos constantemente. Por eso no es de extrañar que esta joven agrupación se haya arriesgado a realizar el cover de Gorilla Biscuits ‘Start today’, con tan buena aceptación que fue incluido en la banda sonora del video juego ‘Tony Hawk’s american wasteland’.
