Nació el 26 de febrero de 1977 en Corea del Sur. Estudió en Sun Moon University.
Trayectoria
Empezó su carrera en teatro, y desde entonces ha aparecido en muchos personajes de reparto. Su actuación en la comedia romántica How to Use Guys with Secret Tips la que le valió la atención especial de críticos y espectadores. Esto lo llevó a ser lanzado en su primer papel principal en la película The Hero (2013). En el 2017 obtuvo el Premio Suplente dorado. El 20 de junio del 2020 se unió al elenco de la serie It's Okay to Not Be Okay (también conocida como "Psycho But It’s Okay") donde dará vida a Moon Sang-tae, un increíble y talentoso ilustrador, así como el hermano mayor de Moon Kang-tae (Kim Soo-hyun).
