Sumario
Síntesis Biográfica
Nació en Nueva York en 1973. Su padre de origen judío, el profesor de historia y pintor Elliot Brody y la conocida fotógrafa de origen húngaro (de padre católico y de madre judía) del Village Sylvia Plachy.
Estudios
Se crió en el barrio neoyorquino de Queens. Impulsado por su madre, Adrien comenzó a estudiar interpretación desde su adolescencia en la Academy of Dramatic Arts de Nueva York y en LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts. Inició su carrera en el teatro.
El pianista
Alcanzó la celebridad mundial cuando ganó el Óscar a la mejor interpretación masculina en un papel principal en el 2002, por su interpretación del pianista polaco Władysław Szpilman, premio que lo convirtió en el actor más joven en ganar el Óscar a mejor actor. Este papel también le hizo merecedor de candidaturas a los Globos de Oro, a los Premios del Sindicato de Actores y al naftor al mejor actor. También ganó el Premio César al mejor actor (equivalente francés al Óscar), el Boston Society of Film Critics y la National Society of Film Critics.
Actualidad
Brody vive actualmente en un apartamento de lujo en Los Ángeles, California.
