Exodus. Es un groupo de thrash metal de Estados Unidos que se forma en el año 1982 en San Francisco, California por Kirk Hammett, Tom Hunting, Paul Baloff y Gary Holt.

Historia de la banda

En el año 1983, Kirk Hammett abandona el grupo para unirse a Metallica y es reemplazado por Rick Hunolt; Rob McKillop es reclutado como bajista. Con esta alineación editan el disco Bonded by blood en 1985, el cual recibe buena aceptación, por su estilo thrash californiano más brutal que Metallica. Después de este disco debut, Paul Baloff abandona el grupo y es reemplazado por Steve « Zetro » Souza. En 1987 editan Pleasure of the Flesh, y más adelante el insuperable Fabulous Disaster, un album insignia en el thrash metal. Este disco marca el inicio del declive de Exodus, con albumes que pasarán desapercibidos.

Con nueve almums de estudio, dos en vivo y dos compilaciones, Exodus ha realizado un total de trece albums desde su albúm debut Bonded by Blood en 1985. La banda fuen una banda reconocida en la década del '80. Sus primeros tres discos Bonded by Blood, Pleasures of the Flesh y Fabulous Disaster, aumentan y reafirman la reputación de Exodus como una de las mejores bandas de thrash metal. Exodus realizó dos discos más antes de desintegrarse en 1992: Impact Is Imminent y Force of Habit.

Exodus se separa en 1992 después de Force Of The Habit y se vuelve a unir en 1996 con Jack Gibson en el bajo. Tres albumes y un DVD son producidos posteriormente y el grupo encuentra un nuevo sonido más moderno, editando a partir del 2004 los discos: Tempo Of The Damned, Shovel Headed Kill Machine, y Arocity Exhibition:Exhibit A y Exhibit B: The Human Condition.
