Lee Hoi-chuen

Lee Hoi-Chuen. Fue un cantante de ópera cantonesa y actor de cine de Hong Kong. Padre del gran actor estadounidense y luchador de las artes marciales Bruce Lee. Realizó una gira por los Estados Unidos con la Compañía de Ópera Cantonesa.
Síntesis biográfica
Nació en Jun'an, Guangdong, República Popular de China el 4 de febrero de 1901. Su padre era Hou-Chen Lee y creció con su hermano mayor, Fun-li Lee.
Carrera actoral
Inició su propia familia después de casarse con la hermosa Grace Lee Ho y posteriormente se mudó a Hong Kong. Tuvieron su primer hijo el 23 de octubre de 1939 y lo llamaron Peter Jung Sum Lee.
Este actor de la ópera cantones y su esposa, Grace Ho, se encontraban en San Francisco en 1940 cuando Bruce Lee nació, estaban en una gira estadounidense de un año con la Compañía de Ópera Cantonesa.
Su otro hijo, Robert Lee, el hermano menor de Bruce, era famoso en Hong Kong durante la década de 1960 como vocalista y fundador de una banda popular, The Thunderbirds.
Su vida como estrella y artista influyó enormemente en la vida de sus dos hijos, convirtiéndolos en superestrellas indelebles y exitosas. Hoi-Chuen trabajó en más de setenta películas que abarcan treinta años de su carrera como actor.
Algunas de sus películas anteriores incluyen "Robbing the Dead", "Christams Tree" y "Cientos de pájaros adorando a un fénix". Hacia el apogeo de su carrera lo firmaron para varias películas, casi trabajando en cinco o seis películas simultáneamente.
Hoi-Chuen respiró por última vez en 1965, un par de días después de su sexagésimo cuarto cumpleaños. Sus últimas actuaciones fueron en las películas: 'The Idiot Husband', 'Black Punch 4000' y Ong Bak 4 '. En una película póstuma "Mi hermano", Tony Leung Ka-fai interpretó al personaje de Hoi-Chuen. La película fue producida por su hijo más joven, Robert Lee.
Muerte
Falleció tres días después de su cumpleaños número 64, y seis después del nacimiento de su nieto, el hijo de Bruce Lee, Brandon Lee. Fue sepultado en Lake View Cemetery, en Seattle , Condado de King , Washington , EE.UU.
