Nació el 9 de enero de 1915, en Buenos Aires.
Sumario
Inicios
Su origen hispano le permitió convertirse en un auténtico "latinlover" del cine norteamericano.
Tras el éxito inicial en su país natal llega a Hollywood contratado por la Metro Goldwyn Mayer, que le adjudica diversos papeles de galán.
Algún tiempo después abandonó los estudios para probar suerte dentro de la producción independiente, llegando a dirigir dos películas: [[La fuente mágica[[, protagonizada por Esther Williams, y The Violent Ones.
Historia
También fue realizador de numerosos episodios de series de televisión.
Contrajo matrimonio en cuatro ocasiones; dos de sus esposas fueron actrices: Arlene Dahl y Esther Williams. Su romance con Lana Turner llenó las paginas de la prensa amarilla.
Padre del actor estadounidense Lorenzo Lamas.
Fernando Lamas falleció el 8 de octubre de 1982 en Los Angeles, California.
