Inicios
Nacida el 9 de mayo de 1933 en Warwickshire Royal Leamington, Inglaterra, fue una niña delicada de salud que por consecuencia faltó mucho a la escuela dejándola a los 14 años de edad cuando fue diagnosticada de tener tuberculosis, tiene dos hermanos Colin i George y Elizabeth.
Comenzó a trabajar con 16 años como empleada. Se casó con su marido Peter en 1976 quien la animó a que hiciera un curso de creación literaria, apoyándola en su trayectoria profesional tardando 5 años en vender su primer manuscrito. Sus primeras novelas fueron vendidas a Mills & Boon en 1979.
Desde entonces ha viajado por lugares como Hong Kong, China, México,Japón, Perú, Rusia, Egipto, Chile y Grecia, buscando ambientaciones para sus libros.
