La Primera División de Escocia 2011/12 (llamada en inglés: Scottish First Division 2011/12) fue la segunda liga de importancia en el fútbol escocés, solo superada por la Premier League de Escocia 2011/12. El equipo campeón de la liga pasa a la Premier League, siempre que su estadio cumpla con los criterios exigidos. El último club clasificado desciende automáticamente; el penúltimo va a la final del desempate de temporada con los segundos, terceros y cuartos clubes clasificados en la Segunda División de Escocia. La temporada se jugo con su sistema tradicional de enfrentamientos todos contra todos a cuatro vueltas.
El equipo ganador en esta edición fue el Ross County, mientras que el Queen of the South descendió automáticamente a la Segunda División.
