Nacio el 19 de septiembre de 1985, en Daejeon, Corea del Sur.
Educación: St. Mary's Elementary School - Daejeon, Hanbat Middle School - Daejeon , Namdaejeon High School y Sungkyunkwan University. Curiosamente en esta universidad, la cual se remonta a la epoca Joseón , es el escenario de uno de sus mejores doramas: Sungkyunkwan Scandal .
Juega fútbol en un club donde Jung Sung Ryong (famoso portero de la selección de fútbol coreana) es profesor.
