Torneo de ajedrez de Linares 1991. Torneo Internacional de Ajedrez que se celebró en los meses de febrero y marzo de 1991, con catorce participantes.
Características
Novena edición del Torneo internacional de ajedrez de Linares. Primer evento en contar con la categoría XVII de la FIDE. Destaca la presencia de los participantes del último campeonato mundial Garry Kaspárov y Anatoly Karpov.
Resultados del evento
El primer lugar fue para un sorprendente Vassily Ivanchuk con 9,5 puntos de trece posibles. En la segunda posición finaliza Garry Kaspárov con nueve puntos y el tercer lugar fue para Alexander Beliavsky con ocho puntos.
Ivanchuk resulta además el único jugador invicto durante todo el evento y con el principal mérito de que esta ha sido la única oportunidad en que un ajedrecista haya podido vencer en un mismo certamen tanto a Kaspárov como a Karpov.
