Síntesis Biográfica

Nació el 6 de enero de 1880 en Mix Run, cerca de DuBois (Estados Unidos).El hijo de un leñador, Tom Mix se unió al ejército como un hombre joven y era un sargento de artillería durante la campaña de Filipinas desde 1898 hasta 1901, aunque nunca vio acción. En Africa con los Boers, ocupó el puesto de sheriff. Cuando llegó al mundo del cine, encarnó al justiciero sin tacha. Fue de la Seligala Fox TWENTIETH (1917) y despué sala Universal (1932) donde le llama Car lLaemmle, Tom Mix, aventurero en trajes de opereta. Se mató en un accidente de coche. Entre sus películas destacan: Western Blood (Lynn F. Reynolds, 1917), The Wilderness Trail (1919), Catch My Smoke (W. Beaudine 1922), La jornada de la muerte (Northof Hudson Bay, J. Vida Personal

Lospadresde TomMix fueron Edwin Elizabeth. Le pusieron por nombre Thomas Mix Hezikiah. Cuando se alistó en elejércitoen 1898, incluyó su nombre como Thomas E. Mix (deEdwin).

Desertó del ejército para casarse con su primera esposa, Grace Allin, el hecho de que era un desertor no llegó hasta después de su muerte, momento en que él era tan famoso que el ejército tuvo que mantener su lengua.

Carrera Artística

Acerca de 1903 fue tambor mayor de la Banda de Caballería Oklahoma, jugando en la Feria Mundial de St. Louis. En 1904] fue un camarero y el alguacil , mariscal en Dewey, Oklahoma.
