Granma es la provincia ubicada en la región oriental de la isla de Cuba. Tierra fecunda, llena de historia. Es la cuna del Padre de la Patria y de la Nacionalidad Cubana, iniciadora de la gesta libertaria de 1868 y escenario de los hechos gestados por la generación del centenario: el asalto al Cuartel Carlos Manuel de Céspedes de Bayamo y el Desembarco del yate Granma. Sirvió de abrigo al Ejército Rebelde y se libraron importantes combates hasta alcanzar la libertad el 1 de enero de 1959.
