Características generales
- Grupo más heterogéneo entre todas las aves.
- Son aves arborícolas (de percha).
- Tienen 4 dedos, 3 hacia delante y uno hacia atrás.
- No tienen membrana interdigital.
- Son extremadamente canoras, con siringe tráqueo-branquial.
- Son muy buenas voladoras y por tanto grandes migradoras.
- Son las aves más nidícolas que existen.
- Cuidan muy bien a su descendencia
